The dairy shed frame is constructed from hot dipped galvanized steel with 50mm freezer panel walls. It is the reason our dairy sheds are easier and quicker to construct.

REL dairy sheds are designed to fit your choice of yard design, both in shape and in size. You can opt for a rectangular yard with no limitation on length or choose to construct a round yard with a radius of up to 18m.

Depending on your herd size or your personal preference - you can choose between a Rotary or Herringbone cowshed.

Clear PVC panels are located in the shed’s roof to optimize light and heat and large sliding windows in the panel walls help create a more comfortable, well ventilated work environment.

You can even customise the interior and exterior colour scheme of the Colour Steel walls. The durable finish isn’t effected by those frequent wash downs, keeping the place hygienic.

An impressive range of 17 different colours is at your disposal to create a dairy shed where people can work in a pleasant work environment. The option to incorporate staff amenities such as a kitchen or child care facilities is selected by some.

REL HIGH-LIFT BACKING GATE & REL TOP GATE - Rectangle Yards
The heavy-duty REL High-Lift Backing Gate has proven to effectively keep herds separated and give farmers many years of low maintenance service. Working on the same basic design concepts as the High-Lift Backing Gate, the REL Top Gate gives you the flexibility to easily bring small cow numbers into the milking area.

REL BACKING GATE & REL TOP GATE -Round Yards
Our hard-wearing REL Backing Gates are available with or without a ‘wash option’.For those who prefer the wash option - the yard is simply washed as the gate rotates with water & power supplied via the REL designed Centre Pole. The REL drive unit is simple in design but yet very reliable and, as with all our systems, the REL Backing Gates are heavy duty designed for long life & low maintenance.

The REL Top Gate is available as a standard unit operating off the top yard rail or off a High-Rail easily passing over entrance gates, side gates or the bridge.

What makes our rotary platform stand out within the dairy industry?

The long-lasting REL Rotary Platform features the ’original’ nylon roller system, hotdipped galvanized bails, 100mm thick concrete deck. A REL platform will deliver many years of low maintenance and most importantly trouble-free milking.

What’s more, the unique drive system is designed to eliminate stress on the gearbox and vastly reduces wear and tear on the drive unit itself. We can also add ACR brackets, cow restraint mounting points and other brackets to the bail prior to hot-dipping for an even superior finished product.

From experience, we all know contented cows produce better results. An integrated bridge underpass ensures minimal disruption to cow flow during milking, convenient safe access to the platform centre plus side to side access when cupping on & off. Checking milk pumps, receiving cans, pulsators, milk meters, plant hygiene or herd testing is made extremely safe and hassle free for staff with a bridge underpass - a wise investment.

We offer many extra services aside from the actual construction of the dairy shed. First of all a flexible 3D CAD design process. We design and build complying with current safety recommendations. We take care of the building consent and organize all of the subcontractors if required. We’re also involved in the site location, development and earth works including compaction testing. From confirming design to completion of the dairy shed the average time spent is approximately 10-12 weeks once building consent is issued.
