The company was formed in 1978 by John and Janette Kuyf to fill a void in the New Zealand market for steel sheet fabricated silos. As business progressed, further in-house products were developed and new products sourced from overseas.

Rakaia Engineering today has 40 staff involved in production, sales, fieldwork, installation and delivery. We are a privately owned company based in the township of Rakaia in the South Island of New Zealand.
